More than ETL. The connection suite that lives inside Odoo.
Online ETL and data platforms move your data out of Odoo, through their cloud. Connecta takes the opposite approach: it turns Odoo itself into your integration hub — APIs, connectors, mappings, automated flows and monitoring, all native inside your own database.
Why Connecta exists
ETL tools move data.
Connecta connects businesses.
Classic ETL platforms were built for one job: extract data from a source, transform it, and load it somewhere else — usually into a data warehouse for reporting. That is valuable, but it is not integration. Your customers, suppliers, webshops and legacy systems don't want a nightly copy of your data; they want to talk to your Odoo, live.
That gap is why Connecta exists. Real business integration means exposing your own APIs so partners can connect to you, reacting to events the moment they happen, creating and updating real Odoo records through Odoo's own business logic, and giving your functional team — not just data engineers — the tools to build and monitor it all.
External middleware adds a second platform, a second vendor, a second place where your data lives and a second bill that grows with every source and every row. Connecta removes the middleman: one platform, one login, one security model — your Odoo.
Where does your data actually go?
The 10 key differences
Ten reasons Connecta is more than an online ETL tool
Ranked from most to least important — based on publicly available documentation of typical tools in each category (checked July 2026).
100% inside Odoo — your data never leaves your database
Connecta is built as native Odoo applications: connections, mappings, flows and logs all live and run inside your own Odoo environment. External ETL platforms work the other way around: they sync your Odoo data into their cloud and process it on their own platform. With Connecta there is no extra platform holding a copy of your business data, no extra data processor to add to your GDPR records, and no integration that breaks because a third-party cloud is down.
A complete connection suite — not a data pipeline
ETL tools answer one question: "how do I copy data from A to B?" Connecta answers a much bigger one: "how does my business connect?" The suite combines inbound connections, outbound connections, data mapping, a flow designer for process automation and a monitoring dashboard — five integrated applications, managed from one place.
Turn Odoo into your own API platform
With Connecta's inbound Connection Designer you publish your own REST endpoints on top of Odoo — custom URLs, full GET/POST/PUT/PATCH/DELETE support and automatically generated API documentation, without writing a custom module. Your customers and suppliers connect directly to you. An ETL tool can pull data out of Odoo, but it cannot make Odoo an API provider.
Real-time and event-driven, including data streaming
Connecta reacts the moment something happens: flows can be triggered manually, by API calls or by scheduled jobs, and inbound connections support real-time data streaming from platforms such as Kafka and Solace. ETL platforms are built around scheduled batch syncs — often once every 15 minutes at best.
Built on Odoo's business logic and security model
Flows in Connecta create and update real Odoo records through Odoo itself, so your validations, automations and access rights keep doing their job. Data mapping happens on Odoo's actual models via a model browser that shows every field with its technical name. External tools writing into Odoo from the outside must replicate that knowledge — and every Odoo upgrade is a new risk surface.
Low-code for your whole team — in the UI they already know
Drag-and-drop flow blocks, a snippet library with ready-made templates, guided field mapping with live preview on real database records: Connecta is built so functional users can automate without developers. And because it all happens inside Odoo, there is no second platform, login or skill set to learn.
Enterprise-grade connectivity out of the box
Outbound, Connecta speaks to virtually anything: HTTP APIs with API-key, custom-header, Basic Auth and OAuth2 authentication; databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, SQL Server and Google BigQuery; cloud storage on Amazon S3, Google Cloud Storage, Azure Blob and OpenStack Swift; plus SFTP file transfer.
Full monitoring and logging — where your team already works
The Connecta Dashboard gives a complete overview of all connections and flows inside Odoo: per-step flow logs including the data each stage produces, connection logs for inbound and outbound traffic, and clear error identification for fast troubleshooting. No switching to an external console to find out why an order didn't arrive.
Predictable flat pricing — no per-source, per-row billing
Connecta plans run from €65 to €550 per month, with the Full plan offering unlimited channels, connectors and flow designs — your integration costs don't explode as you grow. External platforms typically charge per data source and per synced row, with fair-use caps that push you into ever higher tiers as your data grows.
Directly available to every Odoo user, on every recent version
Connecta is compatible with Odoo 16, 17, 18 and 19 and is available directly — including an Apps Only plan for instant download. Some tools in this space sell exclusively through implementation partners, not to end customers. Connecta was also presented on the main stage at Odoo Experience 2025 as a connection suite for Odoo.
Side by side
Connecta vs. the alternatives
A factual comparison with the two most common categories of external integration tooling (checked July 2026).
| Connecta | Migration SaaS tools | Cloud data platforms | |

| What it is | Connection suite native inside Odoo | External SaaS for Odoo data migration & imports | External cloud data platform (DWH, ETL, BI, AI) |
| Where your data is processed | Inside your own Odoo database | On the vendor's cloud platform | In an external data warehouse |
| Publish your own REST APIs on Odoo | ✔ Custom endpoints + auto-generated docs | ✘ | ✘ (data APIs on their own platform) |
| Real-time / event-driven | ✔ API triggers, streaming (Kafka, Solace) | ~ API-based imports | ~ Scheduled syncs, often 15-min windows |

| Primary use case | Live integrations & automation with customers, suppliers, systems | One-off migrations, spreadsheet & payroll imports | Analytics: data warehouse, BI dashboards, AI on your data |
| Built for | Functional Odoo users (low-code) | Implementation partners (often partner-only sales) | Data teams (SQL-centric) |
| Monitoring | Dashboard + per-step logs inside Odoo | On external platform | On external platform |
| Pricing model | Flat €65–€550/mo; unlimited on Full plan | Often not published; via partners | Per data source and per row, rising with volume |
| Odoo versions | Odoo 16, 17, 18 & 19 | Varies per tool | Via a generic Odoo connector |

An honest note
Different tools, different jobs
We believe in fair comparisons. If your goal is a central data warehouse with BI dashboards across many SaaS tools, a cloud data platform is built for exactly that. If you need a one-off legacy migration handled by your Odoo partner, a migration specialist is a capable choice. But if your goal is to make Odoo the beating heart of your business — where customers, suppliers, webshops and machines connect live, where processes run automatically and where your own team stays in control — then you don't need an ETL pipeline next to Odoo. You need a connection suite inside it. That's Connecta.
Inside Odoo. Connect effortlessly.
