How the Odoo Shopify connector works
Connecta manages the connection between Odoo and Shopify through configured connectors, mappings, flows and synchronization setups. The supported synchronization objects below show which business data can move in each direction for this connector.
Odoo Shopify Integration: Supported Data Flows
How do Shopify orders get into Odoo?
Shopify sends an order webhook to Connecta; the order is created as an Odoo sales order with the right customer, order lines, discounts, shipping and taxes. Later order updates, refunds and returns are processed through webhooks as well.
Can I control which products are pushed to Shopify?
Yes. The product and variant domains in the settings panel determine which Odoo products are synchronized, and the product sync mode determines how templates, variants, photos and metafields are handled.
Are stock levels synchronized?
Yes. Stock quantities of the selected warehouse/location are pushed to the linked Shopify location when they change in Odoo.
How are payments and payouts handled?
Order transactions are created as Odoo payments and linked to the posted invoice. Optionally, Shopify payouts are imported as bank statement lines in a dedicated payout journal from a chosen start date.
Which Odoo apps are required?
Products and eCommerce (product, website_sale) are required; Sales, Inventory and Accounting are used for orders, deliveries, payments and payouts.
Are there limitations?
Shopify allows at most 3 product options (attributes) that create variants. The integration uses Shopify API version 2025-10.
